The Highstreet of Yesteryear by

The main street in Haworth, West Yorkshire
I like the colours of the old stone buildings and the lady’s red coat against the backdrop of the hills.

Reminds me a bit of Shaftesbury in Dorset.

    Very pretty.

  • Thanks, Neil. I like to think it’s pretty too, especially at a time of year when there aren’t too many visitors.

It’s fantastic – Yorkshire is so picturesque. You can really “see” the cold here.

I’ve been to Haworth (Home to the Hovis ad I believe) many times and can never seem to get a good shot. It is either raining or teeming with tourists :)

    I envy you this shot.

  • Thank you VERY much. I know what you mean about the busy streets, we were very fortunate to have a quiet day.

Great shot Sue,that would look great as well in B&W with the ladies red coat in SC. Nice to see a fellow novice from up t’north lol

  • Thanks very much David. I had thought about this affect, but wasn’t sure whether to give it a go. I’ll have ask my husband to do the technical stuff on this for me. We should be out in this lovely weather, so I’m now off to make the lost of it.
