An intense forest fire blown by high winds sweeps the mountain side…Abstract formations were taken in the Garden Of The Gods Wilderness Area. It is in the Shawnee National Forest, Illinois. One of the many rock formations found here. These dark redish-brown bands were formed centuries ago when sandstone underground mixed with water containing iron. It is called liesegand.
