The cabin itself is The Alex Cole Cabin from the Sugarlands area and is now located at Jim Bales Place. It was moved here so it would be more representive of the early Appalachian days, that Jim Bales corn crib and barn were from. It is located on the Roaring Fork Nature Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and is a single pen type cabin.
