This is looking up the hill from in front of Jim Bale’s cabin, as the fog is lifting. Unlike the cabin theses are Jim Bale’s. This is an example of early Appalachian buildings. It’s also an example of the rocky ground some people had to make ends meet on. They lived a hard life but they didn’t have to worry about a lot of the crime and terrorism we face. They were a rough, proud people that shaped this country. They made do with what they had and lived by basic principles. A lot of these principles seemed lost today.
