Porch with Green Bench

This house is a few blocks from my home. The first time I passed it, I was intrigued by the contrast of the green bench and the red bricks as well as the contrast between the light and shadowed parts of the brick. However, it was almost noon and there was only a small amount of shadow going across the porch. I came back a few days later earlier in the morning, but the porch was completely in shadow which wasn’t interesting at all. I came back a third time a little later in the morning and this painting is the result.
