Colour me something

I look at my palette;
Strange,
It’s completely devoid
Of all colour
(You can’t have a world without pigment!)
So I pack my swag and off
I trek
My journey takes me
To all four corners
But I’m saddened
To see
The corals are bleached
The wet lands are no more
The lakes have
Become mud
Silt lay where once there were
Polar caps
And grey ghosts wander
Lost in the smog
Where is
Raw umber
Viridian
Cadmium red
Yellow ochre
Cobalt blue
Would that I could paint up
A storm
To bring about
Life to this
Barren landscape…
Magician I’m not
Messenger I must be
“The earth devoid of colour
Is dead
It’s the only one
We’ve got
So get cracking
You lot
And do your bit
Do not ignore
Do speak out
Pick up that rubbish
That someone else
Threw out
Turn off that light
Ride a bike
Grow some veggies
And enjoy your life!"

My images and writing are unfiltered or edited. i just shoot the photos, create the pictures and the words come from somewhere inside without much if any thought or consideration.
My desire is that they might effect someone in a positive way…
A footnote… I’ve explored PS with cars…!
