Do it anyway...

Courage takes many forms
Who am I to judge?
What may seem a simple task
Could for some
Be an ask.
The summit of your fears
You must climb
And overcome…
To look beyond
And not know the future
And face it anyway…
Here
I will walk beside you.
Though your body is racked with pain
I will hold your hand
And not let go.
Your breath is laboured
I see your struggle
I touch my forehead to yours
We shall breathe together.

Your eyes meet mine
One last time
Your hand
Let’s me know
Its alright
And in a heartbeat
You are gone.

Now it is my time
To be brave.
To face the world
Without…
Unimaginable
Yet every day
I must do it.

7th February

Do it anyway...
