I saw an old woman
The other day
She reminded me of
Someone I once knew
She was very bent over
Her face furrowed
And all the time
Wringing her hands
And
Beating her breast
Unable to witness
Such distress and
Do nothing
I started to approach her
And offer my help
The closer I got
The more she changed
She became younger
Straight spine
Clear face
Eyes bright
Then I realised
She was
My reflection
Unburdened
By guilt
6th February
guilt can wreak terrible havoc on one’s spirit and body

Think what Freedom and Peace we would know if we could just let go of the baggage of our lives that serves no purpose anymore except to drag us down.
to let go is such a marvelous thing…
