No man's land No.1

The mirror no longer fogs
The dust motes
Settle on the floor
Sunlight rests
Where she once stood
The ache in the room
Palpable…
The gap in space
Can never be
Filled
For she is
Gone
Not a trace is
Left
Not even a strand of
Auburn hair…
But the rent in
The man who sits
Holding his
Heart
Remembers…
For him she is
Everywhere
In his dreams
On his
Skin
Unable to
Move
Food and
Water lay wasted
The very air
That he once
Breathed;
Has been sucked out…
In a vacuum that is
His memory
He is forever
Entombed …
