The relentless monkey

The thought
Of moving
Takes my
Breath away
So I sit in
A vacuum…
I know not
Of time
But the monkey on
My back
Won’t leave
Me alone…
It has
No patience
No respect
No mercy
Or
Perhaps
It
Does?
Begrudgingly I do as
It insists…
I turn
To look.
Behind sits a
Slag heap that
Is me…
Full to the brim of
Disrespect
Unkindness
Angst
Patterns of
Uselessness
That does not
Serve…
And yet I haul
Them around
By the neck
‘Till I’m
Choked
And
Out of breath…
The knot is
So tort
From years of
Tears and the
Sweat of fear
That my
Fingers pluck at
My heart
Uselessly…
How to
Untangle
To move
Forward
And not be
Beset by
The past…

humans do not like change… and yet to develop it is necessary and inevitable
the last thing i felt like doing; but needed to do, was go for a walk… whilst walking
the first few lines of this jot came to me…

My images and writing are unfiltered or edited. i just shoot the photos, create the pictures and the words come from somewhere inside without much if any thought or consideration.
My desire is that they might effect someone in a positive way…
A footnote… I’ve crossed over to the dark side to explore PS with cars…!

What are we without our past? Our experience is what defines us. If we could only separate the parts we like from the parts we do not like and discard the negative the load would be much lighter.

Wow, what a place of absolute ‘guttural’ reflection. Well explored Suzanne
