With a sinking
Realization… To
Return I first must
Leave.
I face a
Vertical corridor of
Deep fine sand that I
Must ascend. Almost
Impossible to get a
Foot hold. I sink more than
Move. Somehow I
Arrive near the
Top. There are two cars
Stopped. I know I must
Enter one to go
Through the other. A
Blistered hand is
Penance for my effort.
Followed by a
Deluge of sand that almost
Buries me. It’s in
My eyes
My ears
I can’t breathe.
Blindly I
Scramble through and
Arrive at the
Top. Exhausted. My
View is that of a
Sheer drop.
Narrow and low.
Pitted with shards of glass.
I know I must
Crawl through to
Get back…
My horizon has gone. There is
No evidence of where I’ve just been…
Apart from a
Sandy parched throat and
Bleary eyes. Nothing else of that
Harsh time remains… So
Tentatively I
Lower myself onto the
Ground. Realizing too
Late; that all that I wear is a
Shredded cotton shift. I begin to
Edge forward but the
Angle’s so steep that
Once started I can not
Control my momentum. Losing
Control I begin to slide. Faster
Face first into unyielding pain.
I am ripped to
Shreds.
Bloodied, torn
Unrecognizable. My
Outside has gone.
Stripped clean.
Reborn. I
Arrive back to where I
Came from.
Anew.
a jotting that describes a dream i had last night. my subconscious is processing what has been done and perhaps what is yet to come… rebuilding, growing, changing. Below is a painting of a young woman that i did which i feel accompanies this jotting
Featured Groups; “The World As We See It, or as we missed it.”
My images and writing are unfiltered or edited. i just shoot the photos, create the pictures and the words come from somewhere inside without much if any thought or consideration.
My desire is that they might effect someone in a positive way…
A footnote… I’ve crossed over to the dark side to explore PS with cars…!
