The infinite

On a silver tray
Suspended
Watches lay waiting.
They are all the same
And yet they’re not.
Which one to choose?
Which one is correct for me?
Each tells of a different time.
I pick up one
It has no weight. Another
Impossible to hold for it’s too
Hot.
Then realization dawns…
They tell no time.
Their time has stopped.
Disappointed I turn to
Leave when from
Afar I hear the sound of ticking!
But no matter how hard I look
I do not get
Remotely close. So with a shrug
I let go the idea of
Time.
Stars like fairy dust fall.
I glow
Iridescent.
I look down and realize
My body’s internal
Clock remains in the
Land of dreams. It is that
Which has stopped.
With crystal clarity a
Realization…
I can
Disband
Dissolve.
There is no time.
There is just now.
And I am one.
And yet
Not alone…

The infinite
