Do you see

Half full languished about
Content with his lot
After all
The view
From his point
Is so positive

The outlook for others
Is not so clear
Yet judgements are
Made to measure with
The application
Of rose tinted glasses
The idea of nurture rather
Than nature is
Bandied about
Tourniquets squeeze any
Haemorrhage of
Freedom of thought
As governments lay down
The letter of the law
They are the Plenty
Filled to the brim
Yet
Borders are closed
Fists are clenched
Eyes
Grim with the Need
Reflected back
And so are
Inconsolable

Scratching his head
Confusion was confronted
By this horizon of choice
Turning north
Required he look up
Instead he stood
On his head
The view
Of his behind preferable
Status quo reined
Through-out
Happy at the out-come

And is what remains
Your view…
