Mission Creek ~ Montana
This photograph was taken of Mission Creek as it flows through the
National Bison Range Wildlife Refuge and National Park which encompasses over 18,000 acres.
Mission Creek headwaters flow from the Mission Mountains and the Mission Reservoir of the Flathead Indian Reservation of Northwest Montana, and its springs, and winter snow melt that gives life to this valley … eventually joining the Flathead River which is a tributary to the Clark Fork River and is part of the Columbia River Basin.

The National Bison Range is a fantastic place. We were there several years ago and the drive through the range was one of the highlights of our trip. You did a great job with this capture – it is beautiful!

Hi Karon~ This looks so natural and serene. I wonder how close to real civilization this is, or is there a Mini-Mall with a Subway sandwich shop and Blockbuster Video store right behind you? Just kidding.

there is nothing like those places you mentioned for many miles.
the Refuge really is a beautiful and pristine area encompassing thousands of acres of mountains and valleys with springs and creeks. the waters are so rich with minerals giving it the beautiful bleu-green colours.

it is very peaceful ~ the only sounds are of the waters flowing and the birds singing. it is so nice to stay here a while, watch the wildlife and enjoy the serenity

yes, the fall colours are so pretty.
in the spring the waters level was so high and rushing from snow melt in the mountains that the banks of the creek were washed away pushing this tree over
