No one ever notices the scar on his cheek. It could possibly be due to sloppy rendering on my part, but I’ve chosen instead to blame it on a craptacular scanner.

very interesting post steven…. the list of questions for this could get quite long…. thank you…………b

  • That’s cool with me, I’m more of an open book then I really should be, or anyone want’s me to be. ;)

  • It is a little bit, yes. The next thing I pt up will be nothing but flowers, smiley faces, and cotton candy. Mmmmm…cotton candy. ;)

This brings up alot of emotion for me…… to see the hurt in his eyes makes me want to hug him. You can almost see that he is pulling inside himself… distancing himself from the hurt and turning himself into being cold and angry to survive..

  • Stop looking into my brain. ;)

Interesting. I saw the scare right away! Was this part of your book?

  • Yes it was as a matter of fact. Good to her that everyone is noticing the scar. Maybe I’m just showing it to the wrong people.

Dunno whether it was the title, (probably) but I was drawn straight to the scar… I can see the brewing thoughts in his gaze and possibly the edge of his pain?……..great looking kid! He wears not only a scar on his face, but his heart on his sleeve here

  • No, no, no, it wasn’t the title (at least let’s pretend it wasn’t). It was my fantastic mastery of the pencil. ;) Thanks Karin. Glad you liked this one.

I thought the scar was a tear at first. I like that best about it, that the titular “scar” could be literal or not.

Reminds me of a kid I wonder what happened to sometimes.

  • I will admit that the placement of the scar being sort of, kind of, tear like was in fact not intentional. (Even if it makes me look like a doofus). Just one of those happy mistakes I suppose. Thanks for the kind words.

Like this one especially! Image tells a sad story, but I guess that’s up to the viewer?

I think everyone is going to read it as being something “sad” (hopefully) but just what is sad about it is where everyone is going to read something different into it. glad you like it Mariaan. Thanks!
