Just wanted to give a quick thank you to anyone who already has, or will at some point in the future stop by, take a look, and possibly even comment on my work.
Even if you were to type something like “Your work sucks and your hair sucks even harder.” That’s fine, that’s cool, in fact, I admire your honesty, lovely overuse of the word suck and most of all moxie.
It’s been much too long since I’ve gone out of my way to show my work to other creative, and talented people. No matter what kind of art you make I think you can get too closed off from other creative people (especially if you’re anything like me and you work out of your house in your boxers all day long, and generally don’t shower until one in the afternoon.) No offense to my wife but she couldn’t draw a stick figure if the fate of all mankind rested on it, and the last time I told her I wanted to go to an art museum she groaned loud enough to cause a minor Southern California tremor.
What I’m saying is that it’s good to get feedback from people who don’t look at you like you’re speaking gibberish when you say the word “gouache.”
So far I’m hip to the redbubble, word. (that was me trying to be young and cool and failing.)
I think I’ll stick around for a bit.

Good I hope that you do stay around Steve !!!!!!!
Your work far from sucks and your hair is GREAT :)
I to work alot from home and am trying to get my work out there by blowing bubbles on this awsome site !!! I like the lifestyle of an artist though… I go by my schedule most of the time and I too tend to shower at about 1 or 2 in the afternoon !!! LMAO must be an artist thing huh?? It is nice to be able to have a place where others seem to understand you and appreciate your work…. I understand that all to well and am soooooooo glad to have found RB…..I happen to LOVE your work and I wish you all the best moving forward with it :) and you are very HIP !!!!!! (((((HUGS)))))

I am right there with you! I am married to a nurse and have moved away from all my friends and family in So Cal, so I am surrounded by many non artistic types,( I don’t hang so well with medical jargin all I can do is smile!) and spend my days with my boys (you can imagine the conversations!). It is good to be able to converse even if it is not in person to other artists!! I agree with Naylor I would not have my life any other way! Glad you are here really enjoy your work!!

While I appreciate all of the kind words Naylor, don’t ever try hugging me again. I don’t hug people that don’t take showers until 2 in the afternoon. ;) Seriously though, from one stink-pot to another, thanks from me and my hair. I like reading your stuff. The one about rape…very powerful stuff.

Admittedly though, the hair is a tiny bit more awesome. ;)

Medical jargon, huh? Sigh…I feel for you. I can’t even emerge from an episode of ER without a headache. ;) Thanks Kathryn. I’ve enjoyed looking at your work as well. The jazz one you put up most recently is stunning.

great work and keep it coming, take it from someone who doesnt know one end of a crayon or paintbrush to the other and sticks to trying to take photographs to release any creativity that my be lurking somewhere inside that thing they call a brain.

Well thanks Lois! I appreciate it. Also, take it from someone who doesn’t know an F-Stop from a Bus Stop, I have noting but respect for photographers and what they do.
