Forts Characters
I am coming close to finishing up the first draft of a novel titled “Forts” that I’ve been writing for the better part of the year, and because of that I decided to sketch up a little something with the characters.
Forts Characters belongs to the following groups:
Back In Black ( sorry~NO PHOTOGRAPHY), Character Development, Monsters Ink, Myths, Legends and Fairytales and Pencil Drawing (2 per 24 hrs) Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

Agnes McGuinness
Great sketch, Steven. Look forward to the book. I worked in a school library for a long time, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading books written for young people. Agnes xx
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Agnes! The first draft of the book is almost completed and for the most part I’m pleased. There’s still a lot of things that need to be reworked, but that’s why it’s called a first draft, no? ;)
Brian Towers
A great drawing Steven, so well composed and full of contrast from strength to vulnerabillity.
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Brian, I appreciate that. I sort of rushed through certain parts of this one, but overall it’s not bad. I tried leaving a good deal of open space in case I want to work in text down the line.
BLYTHART
You are a bit of a robot yourself my friend … how long does a drawing like this take?
Steven Novak replied
This one took about three days. The only thing that took any real time was the damn armor on the bad guy. PAIN IN THE REAR!! ;)
AnitaInverarity
That looks great Steven- I LOVE the detail on the armour x
Steven Novak replied
Thanks! Ya, the armor was a pain in the patoot, but I think it came out looking pretty good. Hey…patoot is a fun word to type. ;)
Naylor
OMG .. I just really LOVE LOVE LOVE your work Steven !!!!
Your characters are so personable and vivatious …..... Will you do me the honor of letting me purchase one of the books when finished with an autograph maybe ????
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Naylor! Means a lot. As for purchasing a copy…NO NEVER!! HOW DARE YOU ASK SUCH A THING!!?? The nerve…the unmitigated nerve…
Obviously I am kidding. ;)
sweetscent62
Awesome Steven! : ) I’m a little worried about how he’s going to get out of this fix! ..Is he trying the dreaded Crane move from the Karate kid? lol Wen x
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Wen! The kid has some tricks up his sleeve, even if they are short. ;)
Rosemaree
Love this Steven… Cant wait to see the other in this series…
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Rosemaree! Not sure if there will be any others in the series. The book is a novel. I’m debating whether or not I want to do any illustrations inside, but I think I’ll work on finding a publisher first. ;)
Damian
Cool work! Great to hear there’s a novel involved!
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Damian! I’m pretty pleased with the way the novel is shaping up thus far. There’s still work to be done, but for the most part it’s not too shabby. ;)
Tracey-Anne Pryke
Super cool!
Steven Novak replied
Super duper cool! ;)
GloriaDK
Steven I hope the young guy knows a bit of kung foo, his opponent looks a bit ferocious.
Steven Novak replied
No kung fu, but he’s a smart cookie. Plus, you know the old saying, “the bigger they are, the smaller the brain” ;)
Marion Cullen
Excellent work. That bad guy sort of looks somewhat familiar.
Steven Novak replied
Thanks! He’s a bad dude…all bad dudes look alike…it’s part of being a bad dude. ;)
apjenkins
Really fab work!!
Steven Novak replied
Thanks!
Cathryn Swanson
Great sketch Steven, the detail in the bad dude’s armour is fantastic.
Steven Novak replied
Thanks Cathryn! Ya, the armor was a pain on a monumental scale. There was a time in my youth when I LOVED doing work like that – not so much in my old age. ;)
Agnes McGuinness
That is indeed why, Steven. (Got the spelling right). It looks like a book I would love to read. Agnes:))
AnitaInverarity
Patoot ?? Thats new to me x
Rosemaree
Will keep my fingers crossed for you….
