Woman in the Yellow Dress
This is an oil painting I did a few years back. I draw so many funny/cute things for “work” that I tend to do go a different way and experiment a bit when I whip out the oils.
Am I always successful? Nope…
Is this one of those less than successful outings? Maybe…
Woman in the Yellow Dress belongs to the following groups:
Experimental, Fine Arts and Vibrant and Vivid Color Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

that certainly IS vibrant and vivid…you know, you can join my Oils group and submit it there, too… (shameless plug). anyways…her face is really interesting. can you say more about this?
Steven Novak replied
Ya, that plug was pretty shameless. ;) I have to admit though, that I did go and join the oils group. DAMN YOU GUERILLA MARKETING! ;)

This is cool Steven!!! I see this hanging in a beautiful home or in a museum….. I love the brightness of her dress and the slight smile she seems to have to her lips… her hands are in her pockest so I see her as a busy business woman who has decided to drop all her work for an hour or so and take a walk …. wonderful !!!!
Steven Novak replied
Funny thing is that is actually hanging in my home. (Not exactly as prestigious as a museum, but still) ;) Thanks Naylor!

I really like this Steven- Agree with above, could be a nice Tate Modern piece x
Steven Novak replied
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I’ve never been fully confident about my oil stuff…it’s way out of my comfort zone. ;)

Nothing tastier than blocks of color to fill your chakras ;) xXx

I think that if you were to take a bite out of a canvas painted with oil paint you wouldn’t be calling it “yummy” anymore. ;)

Thanks Romo!
Karin Taylor
