All That Was Left of Him Was His Yellow Hat
Sure, the bird was interesting, but he really should have paid more attention to what was coming up behind him. Unfortunately for Willie “The Birdman” Whiters, it would be the last mistake he would ever make.
I just finished this one up last night. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with it.
All That Was Left of Him Was His Yellow Hat belongs to the following groups:
Art and Stories Made For Children, Cartoon Paddock, Happy Haven, Humour Captured, Nerds Unite, Parallel Dimensions, The Birds and Vibrant and Vivid ColorAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

how fabulous !!
great work .. and i think this image (and your words beside) are a true metaphor for life .. being one tracked in vision .. that sort of thing ..
margpie, 2 months ago
he he, love it, the bird seems to be quite aware what is going on, I can see why you are pleased with it…double FAB for this one :)

I can quite see why you’re pleased with this Steven, a great painting with delightful characters.
BLYTHART, 2 months ago
You certainly should be pleased with this Steven. It displays your artistic talents wonderfully … and also your sense of humour, which adds so much to your work. The bird looks as though he is trying to decide whether or not to alert the man to the danger behind him. With the right publicity you could be BIG … and I mean that.

Thanks Nicole!
Steven Novak in reply to margpie’s comment, 2 months ago
The bird is a private sort of guy – hates being watched. He doesn’t necessarily WANT the old guy to be eaten, but he isn’t too upset about it either. ;)
Steven Novak in reply to Dayonda’s comment, 2 months ago
Thanks Dayonda! Though, I’m starting to see flaws in it now the more and more I look at it…sigh. ;)

Steven Novak in reply to AnitaInverarity’s comment, 2 months ago
Thanks! Wouldn’t you be grumpy if some old man was watching you through a pair of binoculars constantly? Of course. You would also call the police. ;)
Steven Novak in reply to MillicentMorrow’s comment, 2 months ago
Thanks! Though you have grossly over-estimated my cleverness. ;)

Thanks Dave! Plus, I’m already “BIG.” Bigger than I should be in fact. Working in front of a desk day in and day out will do that to you. ;)
Steven Novak in reply to traceyanne’s comment, 2 months ago
You know that you’re actually the second person to tell me that. I have no idea who the mad professor from Tazarn is though. ;)

Steven Novak in reply to darkestartist’s comment, 2 months ago
The dinosaur gets most of him, the crabby bird gets what is left on the bones. ;)
Steven Novak in reply to Jan Piller’s comment, 2 months ago
Thanks Jan! The bird is sick of the old guy, doesn’t understand the point of what he’s doing…won’t be sad to see him go. ;)
Steven Novak in reply to Seth Weaver’s comment, 2 months ago
Much appreciated Seth! I do think I got the characters expressions right on this one, even if the piece has a few technical glitches.
Steven Novak in reply to Di Dowsett’s comment, 2 months ago

I won’t criticise you for being “big” as I suffer from expanding stomach syndrome myself; otherwise known as overeating :) I still think you could be big in a more constructive way though …. as an illustrator.

That guy does look kinda tasty. I hope the dino didn’t eat the bird!!!!!
Tahnja, 2 months ago
lol, oh I love this one Steven!!!!
GloriaDK, 2 months ago
Steven this has made my day, the guy looks as though he is aware of the extra heavy hand on his shoulder, wondering ‘what is that?” you have a sense of humour which is good in this day and age.
