Pallet Knife Pete
Wow, I’m really scraping the bottom of the barrel pulling this thing out of mothballs! This little bitty was painted quite some time ago (I’m not sure exactly how long but I think Bill Clinton was still in office) It is the result of a lot of extra oil paint laying around, no brushes, no life, and a splitting headache.
It’s also quite good at giving people headaches…go figure.

Thanks Care! I appreciate it. Glad to know someone thinks it’s anything other than terrible. ;) Really more of an experiment than anything. Not exactly my usual fare.

Is this homage to “Birds” or to “The planet of the apes”? lol. Quite different stuff… interesting and quite unique.
Steven Novak replied
Maybe “The birds” meets “Planet of the Apes?” Ohhh man that would be a cool movie. ;) Thanks!

It looks like a reflection in a pool … great work.

Thanks Dave. I like to refer to this as my “spazz” period. ;)

Very painterly!
Steven Novak replied
“Painterly” is not a term often used to describe my work. Feels good to be “painterly” for once. ;)
Tahnja
I think it’s amazing and yeah, you really can feel the pain and intensity in this. I agree that it would be awesome to see you use this technique again
Steven Novak
Thanks yet again Tahnja! Glad you like this one. Surprised, but glad. ;)
