Taken with a Nikon D60 on the Murray River at Echuca, Victoria, Australia. This is the paddlesteamer " Pevensy " on a ride up the river. We went for a ride and I loved being able to hear the paddles chuffing in the water, and the whistle blowing to let off steam, and the feel of the old wooden decks under my feet. This paddlesteamer was used in the Australian mini-series " All the Rivers run " as the " Philadelphia " and is a much loved little steamer . It was built in 1911 and still has the original steam engine from England running it . It used to carry wool from stations along the Murray River and bring them to the wharf in Echuca for selling. It is now used a as tourist boat and is lovely to go for an old time, relaxing ride on :)
