Gibson's Beach Bay by Penny Smith

Taken with a Nikon D60 at the lookout on the left hand side of the Twelve Apostles, on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria , Australia. These are two of the huge rock stacks standing in the ocean and are on the side known as Gibson’s beach, where you can walk down a long flight of steps to the beach and see them up close… but you need to be very wary of the tide and it can be quite rough down here. Part of Port Campbell National Park.

Hi Penny, I was down there myself a couple of weeks back so its a case of me too now.I was amazed by how many people were taking pictures down there. There must be millions of pictures of the apostles by now. Unfortunately I haven’t been down to the beach to see them up close. I quite fancy doing some night shots of them as well. This is a very nice composition so well done.

  • Thank you David, appreciate that. Yes there were certainly billions of people around, at all the lookouts on the Road, but here in particular. Just goes to show what beautiful scenery we have here in Oz huh !
