Taken with a Nikon D60 at the Visitor Information Centre, Grafton, NSW, Australia. There were heaps of these pretty lilies growing in a pond near the info centre so I snapped a few. I liked the bee and the fly on this one.

A hybrid of the Mexican water lily I imagine. The local native in Grafton (which I haven’t seen in that pond) is blue-flowered.
Oh ok then.. well that answers that question ! We have lots of blue ones in Port Macquarie too. I have seen heaps of pink, white and yellow ones in the Northern Territory, are they natives do you think ?
Beautiful work Penny – Love it xx
