Artist's Description

Taken with a Nikon D60 at Alice Springs cemetery, Australia. This is the grave of the famous Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira, who was one of this country’s most talented landscape painters. He lived from 1902 to 1959 in the Alice Springs and Hermansburg areas. He didn’t start painting till he was 33 and became famous for his lovely watercolours of the land around to the west of Alice Springs.
