Taken with a Nikon D60 at Parkes, NSW, Australia. This is the radio telescope or " The Dish ", made famous in the film of the same name. It was involved in the distribution of the first tv pictures of man walking on the moon in 1969 in direct work with NASA in America. It is 64 metres across and weighs 1000 tonnes, and is used for tracking signals from space.
