From March until June of 2012 I served as Artist in Residence at The Arts Academy in the Woods. I had worked on many mixed media paintings.
I took a part a lovely red Accordion which did not work any longer. It was given to me by a Canadian Accordionist. Pieces and pats of the Red Accordion are in much of the work that was created while serving as Artist in residence.

red accordion, deconstructed, contemporary art, artist, art residency, diane kramer

I am A media sculptor and painter. The work is an interchange between the intuitive and rational mind, weaving and balancing these two divergent ways of thinking. My approach is instinctive, capturing the “essence of things”.
The real value in my work lies in its hints and is drawn out through intuition. My artwork has been exhibited in San Francisco, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington, Sacramento, Stockton, St. Louis, Hungary, Ireland, Germany and Michigan.
