Bleak world of absent law by Richard Davis

This artwork was created in response to the news that our government has lifted the moratorium on shale gas exploration in the Karoo. Yes there will be economic benefits from Fracking but what of the long term affects to the environment, ground water and the air quality? Should we taking such chances with our planet, with our very own lives? There’s a fine line we, as the human race, stomp along everyday consuming vast amounts of our planets limited resources and these resources will one day be depleted leaving us the human race dead to our selfish deeds. Yes this is a bleak world of absent laws where many people cannot think further than themselves. We only have one planet to call home and we are destroying it.
