View From Inside a Camera

The room’s blue light
clothes its occupant reading
a photo album, running
her fingers across faces
made of Braille.

She does not notice
the fire dimming, a vase
of metal tulips pining.
Outside, a barking moon
scratches the viewfinder

of her window. Wind chimes
mirror rising and falling
tides in her chest; the film
of her womb fogging
prematurely.
