New custom built racer named the Warman Special. Powered by a 27 litre (1560 cubic inch) Rolls Royce V12 from a Centurion Tank. One huge machine!

Seen here doing parade laps at the Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport, March 2010.

    Nicely done Stuart.

  • Thanks Willie. It certainly was a sight. Twice as big as any other car on the track.

    Built by Rod Hadfield.
He has also build a 1955 Chevrolet with a 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin supercharged V12 out of a P51 Mustang fighter aeroplane, which was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most powerful road legal car in the world, at around 3.500hp…
That one was called “Final Objective”

This one looks much nicer though…

  • Thanks for dropping by. I have seen photos of the 55 Chevrolet, but I didn’t appreciate they were both built by the same guy.
