This digital image depicts the scene at a standing stone, set some 1500 years ago. It is now the Summer solstice and two of our Celtic ancestors are welcoming the morning with a fire dance. This is the start of a day of feasting and merriment for their community.
This picture is inspired by and features one of my models, a standing stone with a Celtic cross carved into it. It is likely that in days gone by, a carved standing stone or monolith would have marked a community gathering place or important area.
