Born in Canterbury, Kent, in 1971, I have always been surrounded by beautiful countryside and varied and diverse coastline. Photography has become an outlet for expressing my love for the region.
Gorgeous Stuart ! I love the light in the sky, you have been very creative using the vapour tails and i love the reflections in the water. I love the colours and your composition is beautiful. Excellent shot :-)
Thanks very much indeed Fred, I actually walked around the pool of water until I could get the vapour trails reflecting in them.

Beautiful shot, Stuart!
Thanks very much indeed Luci
Stunning shot!!!! Such beautiful colours, love it!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks very much indeed – very kind of you
Amazing capture the lighting and reflections are something hey.
Cheers Steven very kind, the light burnt out a few minutes later
Those jet trail reflections are cool! I will always admire your sunrise shots, as I have an inability to see sunrises unless it is through beer goggles.
Thanks very much indeed Jane, now had I known that you might not have been setting out in the night to see stars, a hangover induced sunrise where the biggest problem would be that of not knocking the tripod over :o)
Stunning photo! Great composition, love the colors, reflection of the sky in the water…great title too. Just beautiful.
Thanks very much indeed Marie, the title was lifted from a line in “Californication” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Oh this is fabulous, Stuart! Those streaks reflected are just amazing!
Cheers Mel, looks like point and shoot days are over as I scouted the area for the best place to get the vapour trails. I’m just surprised my brain could operate at such a time of the day to be honest :)
Great result Stuart! I like the reflections; of the sunlit vapour trails, in that very still water. I also like the delicate tints higher in the sky.
Thanks very much Geoff, you can see why I questioned the sky in yours (until I realised it was facing the wrong way), it was that magic moment when everything lights up in magnificent colours just before the sun surfaces.
Lovely composition and contrasting light Stuart, the colours are amazing and the fact that they are reflected doubles the enjoyment of the vista!
Cheers Shaun, being stuck slap bang in the middle of Gatwick and Heathrow and mainland Europe the trails are always guaranteed in this stretch of coast to add some impact to the sky. It didn’t half notice last year when the Icelandic volcano grounded flights for a few days.
Superbly captured Stuart.
Thanks very much indeed Jonathan
