Shot narrative:
Taken on the RBUK meet up in 2008. Whilst most of the contingent were either still in bed or enjoying an English Breakfast in the hotel, Simon Gladwin and I were braving sub zero temperatures and gale force winds on top of Curbar Edge.

I also have the dogwalker and his dog to thank for waiting behind me until i’d taken this shot.

Brilliant work Stuart… what a fantastic landscape. The tones and detail in this are brilliant with so many vivid colours, all with that great earthy feel that suits the shot so well.. Love the feeling of this shot.
What really gets me is the way the pathway really leads you into the picture, from the foreground, round the bend (no crazy talk) and then way off into the distance… Brilliant. Great work mate.

Beautiful shot Stuart, It’s a gorgeous scene filled with colors and textures…...are there homes near by ? or do the pathways lead to town ?

I like how we are almost taken out of this image by the path, only to pick it up again and dart along it into the distance, the drystone wall balances it perfectly, one of your best IMHO …..

I missed this one! Love the leading lines from the rocky pathway, fence and bridge, that sends the eye along the line of trees to end on the horizon. Beautifully framed, Stuart!

Ah, one of those annoying people who can get up before 9am!!! :-)

I like this, lots going on but not too busy. The wall, the path, the row of trees all bring you into the shot and off down the road in the distance. Really nicely put together.
