Like the way the foreground dominates this scene Stuart. Gorgeous light and colours too.

Thanks Mel, the foreground had to dominate – it was very windy and I wasn’t going to step nearer the edge!

Have you not uploaded for a while because it took you so long to walk up and down this hill? Or have I just missed your work?
I spent a lot of time in the Peak District this year and this brings back fond memories… I love this area! Such a breathtaking view well captured here. I love that the edge of the rocks are really well defined and the colours are very nice. A great time of year…

  • Stuart Chapman replied

Hi Paul – this was only my 3rd upload in about 3 months but not due to hiking (as a – the car park was most the way up and b – I took this 20 months ago and just came across it). The peak district was so awe inspiring – I wish it was a bit nearer (although I guess compared to you it is!) Hope all’s well with you

Lovely work Stu, beautiful light, interesting shapes to the rock, almost like it has oozed out of the ground and folded onto itself.

  • Stuart Chapman replied

Thanks Simone – This area of the country (that i’d never seen before) has interesting rocks just popping up everywhere out the ground.

Well Mr C, I do like how you’ve used the foreground to give this scene so much depth.
There is an interesting array of colours and textures throughout the image which also adds great interest. Well done.

FAB shot Stuart, I love it the way certain shots bring films to mind, this one reminds me of Pride and Prejudice when Lizzie looks out over the countryside, Can just imagine this is what her view would be like :)
(Yes I’m a Jane Austen Fan lol)
