First off…thanks for showing us your groyne :-). Now thats out the way…..nice image Stu! Love the depth and the way the groyne sweeps into the distance. The cast shadows are great and the texture in the sand and pebbles is super. The colours in the sky are sublime. I love the way it blends from red to orange to yello to mauve and finally blue! You have resisted the urge to join the martian seascapes crew….nice! My mum and sister made the mistake of asking me what I wanted for Xmas…...So on the 25th December I hope to receive a set of square filters… a few ND grads….a light tobacco grad and a sunset filter! Roll on santa….no more frigging around with screw in filters. Have I written enough to allow me to favourite this :-P

Wow, what can I say, Stuart? Other than a magnificent composition with the groyne reaching out towards the sea. Excellent lighting and colours, brilliant clarity and your exposure has resulted in a perfect depth of field.
Wonderful feel with the distant sea out there. Wonder what the black “thing” out there is? It’s very good to the composition, but I shoild like to know.

The starting and ending point in your photo is perfect… the colors are amazing….A+ work all around

One of your gems, this one. I love how the eye is led – first by the groyne, then by the water, to the small black flat “thing” in the sea. Like the tiny bit of flare too.Super colours and textures – one of your best.
