Shot narrative:
This for me is what makes it all worth while. For every 10 or so times I set the alarm early and creep off out into the darkness, I get a reward of the most amazing of natural light shows.
St Margarets Bay this morning was the best i’ve had the good fortune to see and suddenly the 4.a.m. alarm call seemed to be worth it.

Oh wow, this is magical Stuart. I love the detail in that foreground, the still water with fantastic reflections, and the glorious sky to top it off!!
Nick and I are running at about 1 in 3, I must admit, but we do watch the weather on a number of different sites….and do a LOT of rain dancing to get those clouds to show up :) You’ve hit the jackpot with this one, congrats!

This is certainly worth it, Stuart. The water is only this calm at very early hours. You have captured this most beautifully. The lighting is exquisite.

Ahhhh Stuart…......this is what must have first prompted man to wriggle forth from the primeordial oomskah. The allure of this kind of light pierced opaque pre-historic piscatorial eyes and had them throwing themselves on to the beach and dragging themselves over the sand to basque in its glory….....very nice indeed!

I can see why you have this one on your front page. The rocks make very good leading lines into the rising sun. Very good natural colours and lighting.
