Sheepish, Lake District National Park by

We startled this guy on a steep descent from Kirk Fell into Wasdale Head. A couple of bleats and he was off!

I’m not usually a big fan of ‘sheep pictures’ as they’re so ubiquitous, but this seemed a fine specimen in a more picturesque setting than usual, so here you go.

uk, britain, united kingdom, england, cumbria, lakes, lake district national park, countryside, summer, hills, mountains, great gable, wasdale, wast water, farming, sheep, agriculture, farm, farmland, kirk fell

I’m a self-taught landscape, wildlife and architectural photographer inspired by the British countryside and by the thrill of travel to places old and new. In these galleries you’ll find a selection of what I consider to be my best work – I hope you enjoy it!
