Just superb – I have spent the past 3 days trying to get a shot of a kitten of similar age (approx 2 weeks?) and it constantly keeps turning it’s face away from the light asap – STILL haven’t managed!!!
So – having someone else hold it while I take the photo is the solution???

as usual i don’t use by flash in my shots with kittens, puppies and kids…
try to find any ambient light – open window or something like this !
