Introducing Scoop Neck Tees and Unisex Tanks — FIND OUT MORE

A covey of Gray Partridge (Perdix perdix) huddle together under a tree to keep warm. A winter visitor to the Ottawa area, Gray Partridge can be found in small groups in urban and rural areas throughout the region. They prefer the cover of dense scrub and woodlands near open fields where they can hide from predators and wander into open areas to feed when the coast is clear.

Great image here Todd…lovely grouping of this colorful bird.

Very striking but can they ever blend in when they have to:-)

  • They sure do. Francine gets the credit for spotting them. We had the sun going in-and-out but I chose this shot to post because the light is consistant. They are much more colourful and attractive it the sunlight.

    Thanks Gary!
