At the end of the day, Double-crested Cormorants (Phalacrocorax auritus) gather together in trees to sleep the night away. Late day light provides the opportunity to watch and photograph these birds as they arrive and struggle to find an empty branch to perch on. Grumpy neighbours seem to be the norm in these gatherings.
