The Grey Wolf (Canus lupus) pack is a highly social entity. A hierarchy is established in every pack so that each member knows its place and peaceful coexistence reigns. That hierarchy is established through disciple and bonding, the latter of which is reinforced by play-time as seen in this image. Wrestling, mouthing and licking are all practiced in abundance and with great enthusiasm. We spent two hours observing and photographing this group at a wildlife park in Quebec.
