No longer residing in southern Ontario, the magnificent and beautiful Barn Owl (Tyto alba) can only be seen at Raptor Shows like the one held recently near our home. Loss of habitat has pushed their range further south into the northern U.S. states. This particular owl is missing one foot and can never return to the wild. It is arguably the most beautiful poster child for avian conservation.
