Stones cannot face it.
The walls crumble without sound.
And the waves relentless;
their pounding eternal.
Forever the rise and fall,
The shores lay in silent surrender
To the sea’s ebbing flow.
Night etches on to the twilight canvas;
A shadowy shroud commanding silence.
But no sea lay placid tonight.
The barmy struggle to tear itself upon the land.
Thwarted by the pull of moonlight.
That come and go elixir-
Sitting swollen on cloudy seas above;
Ever beaming radiant of dark.
And bares the barricade
Against the boiling Poseiden.
This poem represents the relationship between the sea and moon; how one thing effects the other.
