This is an image in b&w taken the day after the Saturday April 14th tornado outbreak in Kansas where over 130 tornado’s were reported. The area around Wichita was hit hard and “The Weather Channel” along with all kinds of National media descended upon Wichita for live remote shots of the terrible destruction. A huge debt of gratitude goes to the weather men/women in the area for their excellent warnings and precautions. In addition we in Wichita, Kans. were among three sights chosen to try out a new tornado warning system. Sights also were Topeka,Kans. and Hastings, Nebraska. Between the efforts of the local weather service and the new {Test Warning System} zero lives were lost in the area but sadly in other states that had only a fraction of the tornadic activity did have some deaths in tornado’s of the same strength as the one in Kansas. This shot was taken in south Wichita!

I love weather and photography so I try to spend most of my spare time enjoying both! I am an amateur tornado/storm chaser so I do get some nice opportunities to capture nature at it’s fierce moments, but I also love to capture Gods canvas at dusk in the way of sunsets! I have a lot to learn but I am willing to go through whatever it takes in order to do so!
