Wildflowers, or more aptly put, weeds have no problem growing in Kansas even if we are in a drought. They seem to be resilient and stubborn yet beautiful. The down side is that those little brown burs seen in the image become severe stickers while have a duel existence of being seeds for further growth! This shot was taken in central Kansas but these weeds are common from the prairies of Northern Texas through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, then into South Dakota.

I love weather and photography so I try to spend most of my spare time enjoying both! I am an amateur tornado/storm chaser so I do get some nice opportunities to capture nature at it’s fierce moments, but I also love to capture Gods canvas at dusk in the way of sunsets! I have a lot to learn but I am willing to go through whatever it takes in order to do so!
