Pastel on Canson Paper. Herons are symbolic of great self reliance. They wade deeply into the waters of life in search of opportunities. It is this type of DIDACTIC SYMBOLISM which is central to my Wildlife Art. I very much hope my idea of creating DIDACTIC SYMBOLISM as a new genre in the Fine Art world will catch on and help the world to consider the Life Force in ALL things to be of great value, to be cherished and preserved beyond some arbitrary monetary value.
