Along with my son Scott Denny, and his friend Jeff Weymier we spent our second year together on a photo shoot in Yellowstone as well as The Grand Teton Mountain Area. USA

A fairly early overcast morning gave way to this scene of Boss Bull and his harem along the Madison River in Yellowstone

Started photography in my mid teen years. Beginning with a Brownie Starmite camera taking slides. I continued advancing always improving on my abilities until finally investing in a SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera.
I kept advancing through the 35mm film erra and into the Digital world of Photography. I have always Shot with Canon Cameras and today I shoot with the Canon Eos 7-D.

Tim, you like that lens better then the Tamron 200-500mm ?

  • I like both lens John. However I love the Canon 70-200 f4L Series, it is a super great lens. It does not have Image Stablization, but I am not into that. I use a tripod, can’t get much more stable then that and this lens is much cheaper. I favor this lens, and use the Canon 1.4 pro converter with it and have no problem.
I also like the Tamron 200-500, but find it a bit harder for bird shooting on the wing, it is not as fast on focusing, the Canon 70-200 is spot fast, right now.
It is pretty hard to beat the Pro “L” series lens
