Enter The Narrow Gate
This is one of my favorite photos, not that it is a great photo, but how it all came about.
I was standing by a fance when the onwer opened the gate. The horse was behind the gate watching. suddenly I could see he was going to make a move to come through the gate. I had a 70 – 300mm zoom on my camera. With no warning he turned toward the gate, I knew he was coming and while hand holding the camera zoomed out to 300mm I had no time to prepare as he exploded through the gate on a dead run. I was amazed that the photo turned out at all let alone as well as it did hand holding the zoom at 300mm. For this reason alone it is one of my favorites.

I live in Lexington KY, Horse Capital of the World, so I have a distinct interest in horses! Although, my subjects are usually of the two-legged variety.
