Great Aussie image! Hope you didn’t end up covered in dust?!
Thank you Nerida, well we did finish up at a strange angle on the side of the road & well, yes a little dusty….Cheers Lee
Please try ROAD PHOTOGRAPHY for this shot. Thanks!!
Thanks Ruth…didn’t know that group existed…. until now that is…Already done, thanksCheers Lee
Congratulations! You have been featured in the Australian Travel Photography and Writing group 23 Nov 2009.
Wonderful (and brave!) Aussie image, Lee.
Thank you Leanne,I only feel brave cos the damn thing basically ran us off the road…I felt for all the “grey nomads” & their caravans being pushed to the side of the road as they tried to negotiate these inland arteries. My wife & I were in a hire car having flown in/out of Normanton!!!Thanks again for the feature..Cheers Lee
Big fella!! Congratulations on your feature in the Australian Travel Photography and Writing group.
Thanks Sonia… yep he was a biggun….closely followed by another biggun…. & the first biggun had already run us off the road!!!!!Did enable me to pick up my camera from the floor of the car!!!!Cheers Lee
great shot, well done….thanks
Thanks Antanas….after getting run off the road by him…..it’s nice to know his photo was appreciated…Cheers Lee

gosh! i heard about them but never actually seen one. great image. i have to hold my breath or my lungs will be filled with dust in a minute. ;-))
The sealed part of the road often narrows & you are forced onto the edge, as you can see Ursa…it can get a bit scary when they go past!!!!& yes they are very big & long…& they don’t move over to share the road eitherLee
Absolutely brilliant….gerat dynamics
Thanks Heirich…taken through the windscreen of the car I was driving…it all happened so fast…& then it was gone!!!!Cheers Lee
Awesome capture! Excellent!
Thanks James…they do take up a lot of the road!!!!Cheers Lee
