I went for a drive out onto the lookout at the top of Clump Point Far North Queensland, Australia.
They have made it easier to drive here now and there is a carpark (sort of) at the end. The previous track through the thick rain forest is now bitumened. It is still very narrow.
There is a boat ramp behind the point where there used to be lots of rocks. They have covered up the rocks and put in a car park (a proper car park for boat trailers and cars) and also made a boat ramp and a rock wall reaching further out than the original point goes. This is all on the land ward side of the point. This image is looking out to sea – so the boat ramp etc is behind me when I took this photo.
