The sand was wet from the receeding tide, the sky was blue(ish) and the beach was almost deserted. It had obviously been another very high tide and it was still going out when I was there.
I spent about 10 minutes there – between showers. I was at home and noticed a small patch of blue appeared in the sky and, since I wanted to get a photo of the beach that day, I dropped what I was doing, grabbed the camera and drove myself to the beach – all the time fearing the rain would set in again before I got there. It was still skies of blue while I was at North Mission. Then I decided to push my luch by going to South Mission too. It was already clouding up again by the time I got there. The boatramp had about four sets of people all trying to launch boats, but otherwise there wasn’t much happening on the beach.
Then it started raining again so I went home and spent the afternoon watching the downpoar of tropical wet weather. Monsoonal I think you could say.
